Louis Vuitton opens a new factory in Italy

Louis Vuitton has opened its second shoe factory in Italy. After opening the first one in Fiesso d'Artico in Veneto, the LVMH flagship brand has just opened a new production site dedicated to this category of footwear in the industrial zone of Civitanova in the Marche region. The new factory is located on an area of ​​10 thousand square meters. meters. Its opening took place on March 12. Of the 90 people employed at the enterprise, 70 are shoemakers. The number of employees will be increased in the coming years. 

“The house will also launch a training program for young people to discover and develop shoemaking skills, with the aim of preserving and promoting the quality of local artisanal know-how,” reads the presentation of the new factory. 

The Marche region, which is located in the center of Italy, is home to other luxury shoe workshops, such as Fendi in Molini Girola and Loro Piana in Porto San Giorgio. There are also factories here: Tod's in Sant'Elpidio a Mare and Prada, Doucal's and Rodolfo Zengarini in Montegranaro, the latter plant also producing shoe collections from other luxury brands.
