The EKONIKA network notes a significant increase in revenue; in the first two months of 2024 it increased by 51%. Vice President of Novard Group of Companies (owns EKONIKA) Sergey Sarkisov spoke about this at the Retail 2024 conference.
According to him, the growth in revenue is explained not only by rising prices, which increased by 30%, but also by an increase in sales in physical terms. According to Sarkisov, the increase in sales in quantitative terms was the result of the EKONIKA rebranding, which was launched by the company in the summer of 2023 with the aim of repositioning the brand in the premium segment.
During the rebranding process, the area of EKONIKA stores was doubled, to 400-450 sq. m. meters. However, the range has not been increased. The emphasis was placed on premium display of goods and the provision of additional services. The performance indicators of the chain's pilot store show that as a result of the adopted changes, both traffic and conversion increased.
