The American conglomerate Capri Holdings has signed an agreement to purchase the Tuscan shoe manufacturer Sicla, which produces some Jimmy Choo shoe collections. This move is intended to strengthen Capri's production capabilities, writes laconceria.it.
Founded in 1979 by Enzo Donnini, Sicla will continue to be run by the founding family and the new change of ownership is not expected to affect the manufacturer's know-how. Capri has indeed committed to "maintaining the level of its offering, products and team of talented craftsmen." The Tuscan manufacturer has a staff of about 250 people.
This is the second acquisition for Capri Holdings in Italy. In 2019, the American conglomerate, whose portfolio of brands includes Michael Kors, Versace and Jimmy Choo, also acquired Tuscan footwear manufacturer Alberto Gozzi.
