Footwear brand HeyDude enters the UK market

Italian lightweight moccasin brand HeyDude, acquired by Crocs in 2022, launched sales in the UK last month, writes Worldfootwear.com.

Heydude began sales with the launch of an online store aimed at English consumers, and the brand's shoes are now stocked in 191 retail stores across the country, including retailers such as Schuh and Kurt Geiger across the UK and Paul Byron in Ireland.

The brand is known for its comfortable and lightweight shoes for men, women and children. Best-selling styles include the "Wally" and "Wendy" styles, which feature fitted elastic laces, a removable foam insole and an extremely lightweight outsole, making them versatile and easy to put on and take off.

“We are excited to officially introduce our HeyDude brand to the UK market, bringing consumers the same effortless comfort and versatility that our rapidly growing US fan base knows and loves,” said Kelly Cortina, Senior Vice President and Global Director of Product and Merchandising for HeyDude. . “...We are confident that our brand will resonate with British audiences and that they will love the ease and timeless style of our product.”

HeyDude, acquired by Crocs in 2022, reported revenue of about $950 million in 2023. And in the updated ranking of the richest people in the world by Forbes magazine, the name of the founder of HeyDude, Italian entrepreneur Alessandro Rosano, whose fortune is estimated at $1,4 billion, now appears among the nouveau riche, after he sold HeyDude to American Crocs for $2,5 billion.
