Bape and Adidas have been collaborating for over 20 years and are debuting an all-new collaborative sneaker silhouette for the first time. The Adidas N Bape is inspired by the skate culture of the early 00s and bears some resemblance to the Adidas Campus 70s, a modified version of the XNUMXs basketball sneaker that was also reinterpreted in the XNUMXs aesthetic, writes Footwearnews.com.
Each of the N Bape's upper panels is thick, including Adidas' thick signature "Three Stripes" made from nylon straps. Concave vertical stripes span the lateral midsole, which also features an embossed Adidas Trefoil on the heel. It is also present on the tongue of the shoe. The heel area is also decorated with the logos of the collaboration brands: a trefoil on the left hemi-pair and Bape Sta on the right.
For its debut, N Bape will be released in two color options: Tan, Tan and Black, as well as Green and Brown. Both models feature a rubber outsole, white midsole, and Bape's signature "Cloud Camo" pattern on the inside of the shoe.
Each pair comes with a leather keychain and three pairs of laces, two of which are “chunky” to match the 2000s skate sneaker aesthetic.
The Bape x Adidas N Bape sneakers will release on April 20th via the Bape app, the Bape online store, the brand's in-store retail locations, and select third-party retailers. The price for a pair is $150.
