Istanbul hosts AYMOD International Footwear and Leather Goods Fair

The 71st International Shoe Fashion Fair AYMOD, organized by the Turkish Shoe Manufacturers Association (TASD), opened its doors at the Istanbul Convention and Exhibition Center. The fair will run from September 4 to 7. The event organizers expect 15 visitors from 53 countries.

The largest footwear exhibition in Europe is located on an area of ​​60 thousand square meters. Speaking at the opening of the event, TASD President Berke Içten called Aymod the main exhibition showcase of the Turkish footwear industry. He also noted that 416 companies are participating in today's Aymod session, 48 of which, or more than 10%, are companies based in Germany, China, India, Hong Kong, Iran, Italy, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Russia and Greece.

"We expect 15 people from 53 countries to visit our fair this year, 5 of whom are foreigners," Mr. Ichten said.

At Aymod there is a stand of the National Shoe Union of Russia and Shoes Report.
