From October 14 to 17, a grand event will take place in St. Petersburg – the XXX International Festival of Fashion, Art and Design “Admiralty Needle”. The founder and organizer of the festival is the St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design.
For thirty years, the Admiralty Needle has been helping talented designers find their niche in the modern fashion industry. This year, more than 700 applications from young designers from Russia, Kazakhstan, China, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Tajikistan, Croatia, Turkmenistan, and Mongolia were submitted to participate in the festival.
The collections of young authors will be assessed by members of a professional international jury, leading fashion experts from more than 10 countries, including, for the first time in the history of the festival, from Serbia and Iran.
On its anniversary, the Admiralty Needle will present a retrospective of the competition's finalists and winners over the past 30 years. Among them: Artem Anatsky and Alexey Anatsky (Donetsk, Russia); Natalia Dukhnevich (Simferopol, Russia); Sofia Totulyan (Budapest, Hungary); Olga Maliarova (Saint Petersburg, Russia) and many others.
Also planned during the festival week are fashion shows, creative exhibitions, a showroom of collections of competition finalists and an open lecture hall “Admiralty Needle”, where master classes and group discussions from leading world professionals in the field of fashion and design will be held.
The competition will end with a VIP show of the best foreign designers and a Gala show of the winning collections.
