In the first half of 2026, footwear production in Russia decreased by 12,4%.

According to the CRPT, operator of the Honest Sign labeling system, shoe production in Russia decreased by 12,4% year-on-year in the first half of 2026, to 97,6 million pairs. Meanwhile, shoe imports increased by 3,5%, to 200,9 million pairs.

It appears this trend will continue. The country's economic policy favors an increase in the share of imports in the clothing and footwear segment. This is confirmed by the latest decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission, which will make ordering goods from abroad to Russia even cheaper.

Starting January 1, 2027, Russia will reduce import duties on purchases from foreign online stores shipped through EAEU countries. The rate will be reduced from 15% to 5%, and the duty-free limit of €200 will remain unchanged.

According to CRPT, the operator of the Honest Sign labeling system, shoe production in Russia fell by 12,4% year-on-year in the first half of 2026, to 97,6 million pairs.
