The Moscow International Short Film Festival about Fashion has opened the call for applications.
Today, July 3rd, the call for applications for the seventh World Fashion Shorts festival of short fashion films opens. It will take place on September 27th as part of Moscow Fashion Week. Films selected by the expert panel will have the opportunity to be screened at international festivals. This is the third time the competition has been held. Applications are accepted until August 1st on the event's website.
Films must be between 1 and 5 minutes long and must explore themes of fashion and cultural diversity, explore fashion in the context of the city, culture, nature, the human body, and relationships, and avoid standard formats such as runway shots. Films created using artificial intelligence are eligible. Anyone can submit a film.
Guests will experience a festival installation that combines fashion, film, and video art. The program features short films from around the world, capturing a diverse culture and expanding understanding of fashion. The program is presented as a one-day multimedia show as a special event of Moscow Fashion Week.
Films selected by an international expert panel may be screened at international festivals: Cinettica International Fashion & Art Film Festival (USA), Manila International Fashion Film Festival (Philippines), Buenos Aires International Fashion Film Festival (Argentina), and Brazil Immersive Fashion Week (Brazil). Their curators are members of the competition's expert panel.
The Moscow International Festival of Short Films about Fashion (World Fashion Shorts) is organized by the Fashion Fund with the support of the Moscow Government.
