For the Fall/Winter 2024 season, the Italian luxury brand of bags and shoes has added a capsule collection of sneakers created in collaboration with Acbc, an Italian company that provides consulting services to shoe companies on establishing responsible production.
The limited edition Cocinelle Roundabout & Acbc collection was released on August 26 and consists of three models of sneakers.
The first model, C-CITY 365, is available in two versions: with eco-fur inside and without it. The second model, C-STYLE 70, is a sneaker with a retro touch. The C-RUN 01 sneakers, on the contrary, convey the most modern image of sports shoes.
The materials used to produce the shoes include rPET, made from recycled PET bottles, FreeBio rPU from ACBC, a leather alternative made from recycled polyester fibres, and finally Rice HUSKS, made from recycled rice husk waste.
The laces of the sneakers are made of 100% organic cotton, and the soles are made of recycled material, with an original texture - with small scales on the surface.
The organic sneakers were presented at a special event of the brand in Milano Moda Donna. Thus, the Italian company aims to meet modern trends and attract the international audience of the Fashion Week, which will be held in Milan from September 18 to 24.
