BUGrip® is Icebug's traction technology for the slipperiest surfaces. The BUGrip outsole is made of a special rubber compound and equipped with 13-19 integrated steel studs. The stud design and rubber compound provide dynamic traction. The studs operate independently of each other and are not rigidly attached to the outsole. Under the user's weight, the studs are pressed into the outsole's surface. The depth of their penetration depends on the pressure applied by the user and the ground resistance. This dynamic feature allows the studs to adapt to the surface and provide the best possible grip on any surface—from dry asphalt to pure ice.
Fixed spikes OLX They eliminate the risk of slipping. ICEBUGs set the standard for spiked footwear, and OLX® continues to uphold this standard in trail running, orienteering, and cross-country running. These spikes, made of carbide steel, which is 6-7 times harder than regular steel, are virtually wear-free. For trail running, we use our "fixed" system, which, unlike the BUGrip® system, does not adjust to the surface. The advantage of trail running spikes is that they are always open, providing traction on any surface. This allows us to make the sole thinner, improving traction and reducing the weight of the shoe.
